I have the TAV2 series 30 torque converter (Chinese) and a CT200U. The garter spring that came with the torque converter was healthy and needed about half throttle to engage the clutch. The solution was lighter springs so I went with the lightest (black). Now the clutch engages at the slightest tip of the throttle. In fact, perhaps too slight as I've found that once the engine is warmed up the clutch begins to grab a bit on idle. Not bad, slightly noticeable. Since then I invested in a tachometer (cheapest one I could find on Amazon) and now know the bike idles at between 1440 and 1500 rpm with redline just north of 4000 rpm. The easy solution would be to get the Orange springs to move the rpm engagement to 1500 rpm as indicated on the associated chart. Haven't ordered the orange garter springs yet, but will at some point just to see what the difference is. The black garter springs already deliver good performance, I'd just like to dial it in that much better with the orange garter springs.
